Coding with the omg tech people

This morning the omg tech people came over to our class and we started to do coding. so there was flappy bird game and started to play it and it was a very cool and after the game I got a certificate. Now i'm going to go on another game.

Immersion Assembly

This morning the whole school went to immersion assembly. First we saw Mr. Burt playing a song.Once we finished watching Mr. Burt it was time to see team 1 act. So team 1’s act was snap they were playing snap with emotions every time the music changed they changed it a different emotion.After we watched team 2’s act. Team 2’s act was they were making there own kind of music. So they were making their own kind of beats and that was very cool. Next it was team 3’s turn that was my team so the whole school watched team 3’s movie and they were lip syncing songs to make their own words and it was very awesome.Soon it was time for team’s 5 act they were watching this movie called the lion king. First they watched the real one.After they changed the music and I liked the part where the song said let it go.

Immersion Assembly

As i walked in the hall we sat down and everybody started to come in when everybody came in i could see black paper on the door then Mr Jacobsen turned off the lights and everybody looked up and saw stars. After it was time for team one so Mr Jacobsen played there movie when the movie finished one of the teachers came up and talked about it i heard that they were learning about the sun and the moon and space. Then it was time for team two in there movie there were singing about space and the sun and the moon when the movie finished they talked about it.

After it was time for team three Mr Jacobsen played the movie and when the movie finished Miss king came up and told us some of it. I heard that team three were learning about time and days of our lives. So it was time for team five they didn't do a movie so they just made a play Miss Jud sang a song about the stars the song sounded like Moana but they changed some of the words and the other teachers had stars on them and they were dancing around. After that the assembly finished and we went back to class and we wrote about the hole assembly.      

Madi's winter learning journey

Hi everyone it's Madi here this is my winter learning journey day 7.LETS START

Activity one: On the site it said, I have to come up with 3 things that can make my neighborhood better. Here is my ideas:
1.  stop littering
2. you can start a garden. If you start a garden it will increase and be good for your home.
3.  Pick up rubbish

Activity two: After thinking about ways about how I could change my neighbourhod, We go to Rotorua to a hot pool to relax. I have to take a picture of me doing something relaxing.

I like reading books to relax.

Madi's winter learning journey

Hi everyone it's Madi here this is my winter learning journey day 6.LETS START

I have to write a poem about arriving in NZ.

Activity one: My first sight arriving in the so called the land of the long white cloud. There my mind was into two worlds, seeing colors that were loud. Seeing all these warriors doing their so called war dance as we know today is called the (haka). It was in a very unusually feelings and emotions. I'm just happy to live to share my story.



Activity two: I have to write about the matariki festival at te papa museum in wellington and i have to choose 3 activities and tell you all about it.

Star Weave Jam: At star weave jam they will weave stars from ribbon.

Matariki Fireworks: Matariki is a celebration of people, language, spirituality and history.

Tiramarama storytelling to kids: Tiramarama is a programme of storytelling for little kids.

Maori Technology kites

Today my group was learning about Maori technology kites.

Mr frosty and the bmx kid

Leaping into the blue water the boy jumped off the cliff into the blue shallow water to do a big bomb.The bomb was like a killer whale splashing me from down below.

On a sunny day the boy and the man were talking and chatting the bmx boy said “what is your name?” then the man said “i go by many names” then the bmx boy said “one will do, cuz”  then he said “how about god?”

Powerfully and quickly the god proves to the boy that he can do a bomb and swim and to prove him that he is so good.When god did his bomb he came back up and splashed the bmx boy.Then the bmx boy believed that the man was god.

Kite writing

Yesterday room 11 and 12 made kites in our groups.Then Ms Moala went to go buy some straws and then we went in our group spaces.Then Ms Moala said the oldest has to go and get the straws and count how many people are in the group I was the oldest in my group so I went to go and get the straws and some paper for my group then we made some kites.First we fold the paper then we cut the paper and then we open the paper and put the straw on it and get the tape and tape the straw onto the paper then we get another straw and tape it on.Then we colour it in when we finish colouring it in then we poke a hole in the kite and get a string and put the string thru the hole and make a not then we went outside to go fly our kite.

Today the pav made kites in our groups when we finished we went outside to go fly our kites my string broke off my kite but it still worked.

Tamarereti

This term we are learning about Tamarereti first we watched the movie.Then we wrote about it.

On Wednesday the pav went swimming at the GI pools We went in our maths groups mr moran’s maths group go’s first Mr burt pays for us to take a lesson for free we have to bring our togs everyday if you don't bring your togs everyday you will waste the money that they pay for you and you just have to sit out  and watch while they're swimming.

The world’s smallest dragon gets its name because it’s the smallest creature in the world.also It has little wings, claws and,horns It also has a small tale.  When it breath fire it means it's scared.If I had one I would call it jay jay It would live in my house.We would be best friends for ever.

First We had to put on our goggles , gloves and our protective shoes. We got a saw and put the bamboo on the table and started to cut. When a person finished cutting its the other persons turn.Then Mr vogt drilled holes in them then we put the wire hangers on them. After that we painted them and let them dry.

Room 11 went to the creek after assembly then we walked to the creek. Before we left they told us instructious then we put on our shoes then they told us to line up outside. We saw rubish heaps of rubish and heaps of emty bottles.It smelled like rotten eggs also we saw a pokeko in a tree.
