Art Expo Writing
Today the 4th of December, The whole school walked around into different classes and saw many different types of art that each class made. Team 5 first went to team four. It was really cool because they wrote about different cultures and drew different patterns. Then we moved into team 1.
Team one’s artwork was really cute and creative. They made butterflies and we saw some of their animation’s and some of their paintings that they made with their hands. Then we moved into the creative space.
In the creative space it showed the extensions artwork and my artwork was on the wall “yay I made the cut”. We moved out and then we went into team two’s class room’s. Their artwork was really cool because they drew their faces and drew Indian elephants.
After that we went back to the Street/Team 5 block and saw some of our own artwork and others.
The Art Expo was a really fun experience and looking at other peoples art was really cool.

Plastic pollution
Plastic pollution. Plastic pollution is plastic objects and particles, plastic bottles and plastic bags. The Earth's environment affects our wildlife in the sea. It affects all kinds of animals like turtles, fish, birds, seals and other animals. Some animals suffer from eating plastic because they mistake it for food.
Their stomachs get swollen and they leave no space for real food. Eventually they die either from eating too much plastic or getting choked by plastic. But when we eat fish we eat plastic because plastic turns into little pieces and fish don’t know that they eat lots of plastic instead for real food.
So we need to stop using plastic bottles or plastic bags because we use it one time only which is called single use plastic. Single use plastic is when you use an item that you just use and throw it away and of course it’s made out of plastic. So make sure when you go to a supermarket carry around a reusable bag and carry around a reusable drink bottle.

As I saw it....
I am a British flag. Captain Cook took me to places with a lot more flags so when he
finds a place
like an island to claim he can place the flag there.
Cook had secret instructions to take possession of the country in the name
of the king of Great
Britain by setting up proper arks or inscriptions. He had King George’s flags
on board for such a purpose.

Immersion assembly writing
At the Immersion assembly Mr Burt explained how he collected hats from around
the world and our theme for this term is A world of difference. So Mr Burt
showed us all different kinds of hats that he collected. They were really cool.
Then Mr J told us about his culture and then Mr Somerville came up and
told us about his heritage and his generation. They were knights and lords
that was so cool to hear about.
and then team two did the same thing and then team 3 made a movie just
like them and team 4 made a movie but team 5 did a small little play it was
about a myth sina and the eel. My favorite part was Sina and the eel but
I really like all of the movies and plays. All the movies were really cool,
they all had different kinds of ideas and it was really cool.
Here are some pictures of the immersion assembly.

Protest writing
What is a Protest
-----------------------------
A protest is when different people gather together to protest. People usually start
like strikes. What do you do to protest? Do you march, strike. Because people what to
change the world and make everything fair. Also a strike means when all people from different
countries take a day off and protest for their rights.
What causes a protest?
------------------------------------------
So what causes a protest? People usually protest about . their rights or something they want to change. For example Kate Sheppard got lots of people to sign a petition for womens right to vote. Women wanted to be treated more fairly.
Do protests actually work?
Some protests do work. For them to work, lots of people need to agree with the protest. Particularly the government. For example, in Parihaka, the Maori protested peacefully, but the settlers sent in the soldiers.
In conclusion, people protest to get rights and get attention to something important. They can work if most people agree with the protest.

AN admirable person
Well my admirable person is someone I look up to or like I admire this
person or something like That. The person that I admire is my mum, I chose
my mum because she is a hard working and loving single parent to five kids and
that's pretty hard
to take care of five kids on your own. but she always supports me and my
siblings in everything
we do.She will come to every single tournament I have and never
miss a game. she will do that
to every single child she gots. Accepted my older brother
Mitchell, he is not really into sports so yeah and the.
reason why I chose my mum it’s because I want to be like her
when I grow up, because she got through a divorce
and got through moving to different houses.
Now she is working as hard as she can so that she can get
our own house so we can stop moving to different houses.
So yeah I want to be like my mum when I grow
up because she is a role model to me and my sisters. Also she is a role
model to my two brothers since our
dad isn't here she is still there to be their role model to.
