TOP TIPS

Dear future campers,

Year 6 camp is the best camp ever because you can do lots and lots of activities which is really fun.

Also you have lots of free time.Some animals live there like wekas,ducks,wallabies and some

stingrays and orcas.


Also I have 5 top tips for you guys.




First tip: In the mornings if you wake up early stay quiet but put on some shorts and a jumper. Don’t turn up to the deck with your pajamas or else they will tell you to go get dressed for the run. Also always wear your shoes covered shoes not your slides. Because you will hurt your feet when you are running up and down the track.




Second tip: So when you are at camp you only drink water and Milo in the mornings. Also when you have free time fill up your drink bottle if it is empty. Because the teachers won’t let you fill it up when you are getting called in to sit down on the deck.




Third tip: So when you get to kawau island you will be wearing your hat right. So when you are helping to take the bags make sure you hold onto your hat because it might be windy and your hat will fall into the water like my friend Mia. It was really windy and we were leaving kawau island and it was really windy and Mia’s hat just fell into the water. Also when you are on the ferry and you are at the top hold your hat or else it will fall off your head.




Fourth tip: Morning tea it’s my favorite part of the day besides breakfast and dinner. So morning tea is usually apples and cookies you have to go through the drive through which is you go window to window when you get the cookies and apples. When you get your morning and you want seconds maybe wear something different or just ask nicely.






Fifth tip: So when you get called in to sit down on the deck you sit up so that you can catch the teacher's attention and they might just look at you but when you sit up you smile and also try as hard as you can and your team might follow you at sitting up.

Writing

Tree Trunks
I see beautiful tree trunks and the pretty sun shining through the trees with a lovely bright
wakening to the start of the morning.
When you walk through each path that has fresh nature.
Leaves    
The leaves have fallen from the trees and has nice color to it. With a very very
pretty touch to it with light green  


Grass
The grass is blooming with some sticks and leaves that fell from the beautiful trees
made from mother nature.


Imagination

As I walk through the nice tree trunks and the pretty leaves falling from the sky and the
beautiful grass shines bright with the sun and the clouds all made by mother nature.

Ocean
The ocean has a sparkly touch to it with a turquoise color shining through each wave
that comes on the shore.


Sand
The sand has a golden touch fading away in the sparkly ocean with a glitch
touch of yellow sand.


Sky 
Also the sky has a beautiful ombre blue and white beautiful clouds with a pretty
sun that shines through the glistening ocean.    


Imagination
Also people are tanning in the pretty sun and going swimming in the ocean with a beach ball and
some floaties.

Original version 

Once upon a time there was a kid called bob he always had lots and lots of food in his bag. So one day he packed lots of food and went to school, when he got to school he took some food out of his bag and kids were watching him eat and bob was eating a sandwich that had jelly and bat he loved it so much he was also bringing it to school and he kept finishing his food everyday. Some kids made fun of him because of the bats and jelly mixed together. But he did not care about people who made fun of him. One day he was eating a double ham triple tomato, with peanut butter he ate the sandwich then got superpowers but he felt weak the kids who made fun of him put something in. He could fly but when it turn 2:00 he explode which cause earth to look a hand ball because the kids put boogers in “Eww” but the bully’s looked like big borgers . THE END!.

Task description:we played a game called pass the story.we would write a little bit of the story, and then pass it to the next person next to us. They would the continue on the story.After the story was finished,we edited it to make sure it was punctuate properly.

Year 5&6 Camp




WALT: Write in paragraph 

On Wednesday, the year 5&6 kids went to camp.Camp is where you sleep in a tent with 3 or 2 people. Also camp is so so fun it’s where you get into groups and you have camp leaders and a teacher. You do different kinds of activities that are fun.


1.Kayaking at the pt England beach
2.Slip and slide
3.Killer zone
4. Cyclo ball
5.Ping pong,skateboards,scooters,trampoline
Also we have 6 groups and 12 camp leaders. I was on of the camp leaders and I was so surprised about it because they just pick random people.Even though we did a lot of activities kayaking was the best out of all of it. My second highlight was eating because we got to eat a Hershey pie and whipped cream and sprinkles.

It was DELICIOUS it was the best dessert I ever had at camp. Also I liked Free time because we got to go play on the park and just run around or relax.Also one of my other highlights were going to the pools and swimming, because I got to play with my friends and then have a nice warm shower.


But the worse thing was sleeping in the tent because I was in the middle and there was a bump under my sleeping bag and it was annoying and hurting my back really really bad. Also I’d like to say thank you to my mum for letting me go to camp and paying for camp. I would also say thank you to all the teachers who made this happen.Overall of the camp what I liked the most was going back to my family and seeing my little baby brother.

Waitangi writing

WALT: use the structure of a recount to write about a holiday highlight.

On waitangi day it was my aunts birthday.At first the lady’s went out to a restaurant to go eat, and the kids were just playing. When they got back they went inside to go talk about stuff.Next we were still playing and my uncles were doing the BBQ, and the kids put there togs on and went in the pool. But it got so cold and all of us had a hot shower.After that we ate, and the food was so good and the all of the kids went to the park and played and we came back and watched movies.Overall, we just went to sleep and it was a really fun day.

Task description.
On Thursday, last week. Mr Goodwin made us a document to write a recount. We learned how to use Order of events. We wrote about what we did in Waitangi day. Like if we learned about what Waiting day is.

Order of events eg: "At first..." or "Next we..."
