Today I am doing day 2 for the Summer Learning Journey.

On the site it said what are 2 things that are different from my house and a wharepuni. Here they are.

1. there's no statues on my house

2. we got more windows then the wharepuni and the wharepuni has only one window.

Dear Eva when I went on the waka I felt scared that some thing might happen. So I saw these men paddling around and around and I felt disease and I told them to go back to shore so they paddled to shore and I got out of the waka and I sat down on the sand.

Coding with the omg tech people

This morning the omg tech people came over to our class and we started to do coding. so there was flappy bird game and started to play it and it was a very cool and after the game I got a certificate. Now i'm going to go on another game.

Madi choose your Narrative

One day I was walking into the bush and I found this plane that falled from the sky so I walked inside it and I saw this creepy girl. She was staring at me so I walked out of the plane and she was there so I ran back into the plane and she was their. So I turned around and turned back and she was right near me.

So i ran away and i saw her and she said i’m coming for you. So I ran as fast as I could and I got home and no one was there. So I went in my mum’s room and no one was there. so I went in my room and i saw the girl and she said your family is gone because of me and i ran outside and I fell down and I just layed there and closed my eyes. After that I opened my eyes and she was right there and she screamed at me and I got up and ran away.

So I went back in my house and i saw her again. So she grabbed me and I screamed as loud as I could. So she let me go and I ran away into my room and i hided and was really scared so I out of my room and i looked for her and i found her so quickly pushed her outside and i locked every door in the house and I went in my bed and i was sleeping and I woke up and i looked around and i saw my family and it was just a dream.                                                                                                               

Touch trials

Today I went to my touch trials because I made it in. So we went for our trials and my sister was in under 12's and I was under 10's. So we started to do our trials so for my trials first we did passes and next we did cuts after that we started to play a game we got into teams I was in the yellow team so the my team went on first. So started the game and one person in my team scored a try. After that I scored a try.After that it was the other teams turn after they played it was finished so the coach said that we had to retry the trial because some girls didn't come so we have to go back and trial at 6:00. So I went back home and had lunch.

This morning Mr Moran said that we would have fun day Friday so we did our Mihi.

Family time

Today me and my family went to me and my sisters trials for touch. I got five tries and my sister got one try. After the trials my mum said that we would go some were but she wouldn't tell us so we went to some where in the city and she told us to come out of the car and we went there and it was so amazing. There were milk shakes so we got some milk shakes I got a crazy chocolate  and my sister got a nuttella ferrero chocolate freak shake and my other sister got a Oreo shake and my brother got a banana pretzel caramel shake and my my mum got a Oreo small shake. After we finished our milk shakes we went home and me and my brother walked to the library and after that we walk back home and it was really fun. Here some pictures that my mum took.

Silent Reading Summery

This is my silent reading summery of captain underpants Chapter 10: The next day Mr. Meaner showed up at school looking different than usual. He still wore the same smelly sweatshirt and sweatpants he'd had on all week nothing new there. But somehow,something about him had changed. It was yesterday George and yesterday Harold. 

     

Races

Today we went outside instead of writing. So we went outside to do some races. First up was the girls and I was in the first group I was so nervous so as I walked to the racing I thought that someone might beat me but no one did. So Mr Moran snapped clapper and we ran and me and Mia came first. After it was the other girls group so they went and the top eight had to go sit down.

After that it was the boys turn. After the boys ran Mr Moran called out the top eight girls. So we walked to the the racing line and Mr Moran said on your marks get set go so we went off. After I came 1st and Mia came 2nd and Tahliyah came 3rd and Nature came forth in the final round.

After that round it was the boys final round and the top four of the boys were John Joseph Michael came to race with the girls. So Mr Moran didn’t tell us that what we were doing. So Mr Moran told us that we were doing a crab race and he said the he was racing with us. But he came last and it was funny. Also Mr Moran thought that he came first but he came last.

 But Mia came first because I am really really bad at it. After that my hands and back were sore because we had to do the crab race. After that we went back to class and sat down on the mat. After Mrs Moala told us that Mrs Moala’s reading class had to go and get our chromebooks. After we got our chromebooks we sat down and started to write about it.

Immersion Assembly

This morning the whole school went to immersion assembly. First we saw Mr. Burt playing a song.Once we finished watching Mr. Burt it was time to see team 1 act. So team 1’s act was snap they were playing snap with emotions every time the music changed they changed it a different emotion.After we watched team 2’s act. Team 2’s act was they were making there own kind of music. So they were making their own kind of beats and that was very cool. Next it was team 3’s turn that was my team so the whole school watched team 3’s movie and they were lip syncing songs to make their own words and it was very awesome.Soon it was time for team’s 5 act they were watching this movie called the lion king. First they watched the real one.After they changed the music and I liked the part where the song said let it go.

Family time

Yesterday I went to parakai springs with my family and there was these big slides. So I went on the short slide with my brother and sister because we thought it was the long slide. But until this lady told us that it was the short slide we so we went on the long slide but it was a long walk up. After I went on the slide I waited until my day got changed so I could go on the slide with him and my sister. So when we went on the slide my dad was laughing. But in the slide I hit my head and hit my solder. So when I came out there was a cut on my solder and it was bleeding. So I went in the hot pools with my dad and it was hot but when I got in the middle it was warm so I stayed in the hot pools until I was hot. When I was hot I got out and went in the warm pool then we started playing around. So my mum called me and saw to go and get my dad so I got my day and I told him that we need to go so he got changed and we all got changed but my mum didn't swim because she doesn't like to swim. So when we finished getting changed we carried all of our stuff to the car we all got in the car and drove off it was a long drive back home but I didn't fall asleep but my brother and sisters fell asleep. But when we got home we had to have a shower and we watched this movie. Chapter 9 of captain underpants: A few days later school was back in session the teachers taught, the students studied and George and Harold went back to their mischief.

My what if planet

If I had a planet to myself I would make it awesome . So I would start with choc rings. then next I will make a candy floss world because i could make a bed out of it and I could sleep on it. Then when i wake up i’m in this other world and it’s called choc world and it’s full of melted choc and I can swim in it.

Cross Country writing

As I stood at the starting line I felt nervous then Mr. Burt said ready set go and we went off. As I was running I felt that I had heaps of energy. But when we went out of the gate the grass was so long that I could not lift my feet up. Then we carried on following the seniors then we ran to Mr. Moran and to the other marshals to the finishing line while we were nearly to the finish line Tahliyah was in front of me but I new that I could run faster so I ran faster and I beat Tahliyah and I came 3rd and Nina came 2nd and Nature came 1st.

Rocket ship writing

My rocket ship has a special power so there is this button that I press and something happens. When I press the button food comes out of the desk were I control then rocket ship. Also I have two eyes on the top of my rocket ship and my thrust er is green and it has a booster the shoots out fire. Then I have a window that I can see through. Then I have a sign that says Ready jet go.


As I was walking to my rocket ship I had a astronaut suit on. When I got to my rocket ship I stepped into the elevator and it was taking me up to my rocket ship. When I was in the elevator I felt very nervous and when I got to the top I  didn't want to step into my rocket ship and then I stepped in to my rocket-ship and saw this button so I pressed the button and the countdown started 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1, blast off.


While I went into space i saw lots of bright stars and planets. After  I saw the sun the sun was very hot when my rocket ship went close to the sun i would get very hot. After i went to Mercury. mercury is the closest planet to the sun. then there was another one that is Venus Venus is the second planet that’s next to the sun. Then is saw another one it was called mars then i saw another one called Jupiter . i saw theses other planets that were called Saturn,Uranus,Neptune also did you know that it takes 12 years to get to Neptune.

Star dome Recount

Yesterday, all the Year 3s and Year 4s got on a bus to go to the Stardome. When we got there we got out of the bus and we sat down on the grass. Then Mr. Moran told the year 4s to follow our parents and the year 3s went on the park with their parents.

At the Star dome, we learned some really cool things about our solar system. When we got inside we looked around and we saw rockets that were made out of Lego. Then we all went into a room full of chairs. Then we sat down and this lady started to talk about our solar system.

When we weren’t in the Stardome, we were having fun outside. We went outside and the year 3s went inside stardome. While we were outside we were having lunch. Outside while we were having our lunch Mr. Moran said that your area has to be clean before you go and play so everybody cleaned up their place that they were sitting. Then we went to go play on the park. Then I saw that there was a flying fox so I went on the flying fox and Antzel’s mum pushed me on it and it was so fun.

floating on the leaf was a small cricket.  The slimy green frog saw the small cricket he slightly gripped onto the tree. Then when he was ready he quickly outstretched his tongue trying to catch his prey. After he was trying to get his prey he finally caught his prey and he was so happy and proud of himself.

The Moon Dictation

The moon was probably made 4.5 billion years ago when a large object hit the Earth and blasted out rocks that came together to orbit around the Earth. The moon is much smaller than the Earth it is airless,water less and lifeless. The gravity of the moon causes to high tides on the Earth every day. The first person to walk on the moon was the american astronaut Neil Armstrong. He stepped out of his spacecraft the Eagle on the 20 first of July 1969 and said these famous words,’’ that's one small step for man’’ one giant leap for mankind.

Silent Reading Summery

This term I am reading a new book called Captain Underpants the main characters are George and Harold chapter one: George and Harold and there doubles two of them go to school while the other two hide in the tree house and play video games all day then they switch. But it turns out there's something rotten in the state of ohio, and it's smellier than a pile of putrid gym socks. The boys malicious gym teacher Mr Meaner has created a method of mind control that transforms their fellow students into attentive obedient perfect children.

Immersion Assembly

As i walked in the hall we sat down and everybody started to come in when everybody came in i could see black paper on the door then Mr Jacobsen turned off the lights and everybody looked up and saw stars. After it was time for team one so Mr Jacobsen played there movie when the movie finished one of the teachers came up and talked about it i heard that they were learning about the sun and the moon and space. Then it was time for team two in there movie there were singing about space and the sun and the moon when the movie finished they talked about it.

After it was time for team three Mr Jacobsen played the movie and when the movie finished Miss king came up and told us some of it. I heard that team three were learning about time and days of our lives. So it was time for team five they didn't do a movie so they just made a play Miss Jud sang a song about the stars the song sounded like Moana but they changed some of the words and the other teachers had stars on them and they were dancing around. After that the assembly finished and we went back to class and we wrote about the hole assembly.

Hi everyone it's Madi here this is my winter learning journey day 7.LETS START

Activity one: On the site it said, I have to come up with 3 things that can make my neighborhood better. Here is my ideas:
1.  stop littering
2. you can start a garden. If you start a garden it will increase and be good for your home.
3.  Pick up rubbish

Activity two: After thinking about ways about how I could change my neighbourhod, We go to Rotorua to a hot pool to relax. I have to take a picture of me doing something relaxing.

I like reading books to relax.
